Blinken Button for Beginners is the simplified Version of the original Blinken Button. It is optimized to guarantee a successful assembly even for SMT novice.
The Blinken Button for Beginners kit is a wearable 8×8 LED Matrix, with a ATmega microprocessor and a battery. It is the perfect kit to add some animation to your jacket. By that it is a wearable animation platform. The software provided is prepared to display sprite based animations and texts. But the possibilities only begin there. The source code is publicly available. This enables you to add any animation you want to your Blinken Button.
They now come in red or green. So choose the right color on checkout.
What do you need to build your own Blinken Button Kit:
- Some soldering experience – if you have built some Through The Hole kits you are experienced enough.
- Some tools – you can check this in the SMT Soldering How To.
- Optionally an AVR Programmer like Adafruit USBTinyISP, Tuxgraphics AVR Programmer USB or Atmel AVR JTAGICE mkII to adapt the software to your needs.
